Arby's at 6000 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake, Illinois.

I've always thought Arby's beef and cheddar were decent. This time I ordered two and was constantly pulling the gristle from my mouth. Disgusting chewing fat. I went inside and told them how disappointed I was to management. Bummer experience.

Update: October2017, "one year later": While still very overpriced for what you get, at least it's all edible now (good job on fixing quality!).

Late 2016 (1-star): So overpriced. Absurdly overpriced. Really. Check out their prices.

They used to have two things going for them which are not what they once were: 1) curly fries, 2) meat. The curly fries are overpriced and not as "fully bodied" as they used to be, even fresh out of the fryer. The meat, well I eat here maybe twice a year, and the last time the meat was absolutely revolting. It was cut thicker but was of such a horrendous tough rubbery texture that didn't break where your teeth applied incisive pressure (read: hard rubbery thick freakmeat) and was with a mere fraction of the flavor it used to have that it was returned. The whole experience of their roastbeef hinges on the texture so how they screwed that one up is beyond me. It's like something you wouldn't want to find as a hobo digging through a carnival dumpster. Not sure how Arby's has held on here in this location for so long but my god please just let it pass into the hereafter. No one will miss this dingepit, now especially since the Kmart and Greek Pizza place are gone. God this town is drowning. And this place is still standing....just....what is going on....
